The United Nations yesterday said that UN Chief Ban Ki-moon is considering what the next steps that he would take with regard to the report of expert panel appointed by him.

When asked when will the Secretary-General send a UN panel report on Sri Lanka officially to the Human Rights Council? acting Deputy Spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Farhan Haq had told media in New York that “We’ve already, as you know, made the report public.  Regarding any onward transmission to other bodies, the Secretary-General is considering next steps, and if and when we have further course of action to announce, we will announce it at that point.”
