Twenty two fishermen released

Twenty two Lankan fishermen who had illegally entered Indian waters were released by the Indian Authorities in Chennai today, Assistant Director of the Monitoring, Controlling & Surveillance unit of the Fisheries Department Mr. Lal De Silva said.
 

He added that the fishermen who were released are scheduled to be handed over to the Sri Lankan Navy by the Indian Coast guard during the weekend. The released fishermen are residents of Chillaw, Matara, Galle and several other coastal areas. (ISA)
