Over 20 houses were destroyed and 70 persons were left displaced after a fire swept through Udapussallawa, Nuwara Eliya today.
The reason for the fire is believed to be an electricity circuit malfunction in one of the houses. The fire broke out this evening and the displaced have been temporarily housed at a school in the area.
