Trial-at-bar asks for Cader case order

The Trial-at-bar Judges in the ‘White Flag Case’ today directed the defense to file the order in Abdul Cader’s case, where Cader was acquitted due to non-availability of original documentary evidence.

When the case was taken up before the Trial-at-bar this morning, the Defense Counsel Nalin Ladduwahetti pointed out that similar to the Abdul Cadar case, this case (White flag case) also doesn’t have the original evidence, therefore the evidence cannot be led on the edited copies of the video recordings.

In the meantime the case was postponed for December 8, due to the sickness of Trial-at-bar Judge M.Z. Razeem.

Colombo High Court Judge Kumudini Wickremasinghe on Monday acquitted a deputy minister of the government and two other suspects from all charges over an alleged misappropriation of Samurdhi Funds, as the original documents regarding the case have been misplaced. (TFT)
