Several missing say relatives

The whereabouts of over 12,000 people in the North who were either arrested, abducted or went missing during the war is still not known, the relatives of those missing people said today and urged the government to intervene.

Relatives of those missing from Vavuniya and Kilinochchi took to the streets in Vavuniya today saying although it has been one year since the end of the war they have yet to obtain information on the whereabouts of their missing loved ones.

They urged the government to intervene in the matter and find their loved ones. (Daily Mirror online)
