Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO) leader, Selvam Adaikkalanathan has decided to resign from the post.

He said that he decided to resign from the post because he was unable to get a ministerial portfolio for the Wanni district as promised by him to the people in the district.

“I promised a ministerial post for the people in the Wanni district after this Provincial Council Election. But the party decided to give the ministerial post to M.K. Shivajilingam who contested in the Jaffna district. I honour the party decision but I decided to resign as I couldn't fulfil my promise made to the Wanni people,” he said.
