Telegrams campaign over teacher appointments

The Association of Educational Professionals’ is planning to send 3000 telegrams to the Ministry of Education on May 16th against the ministry’s delay in giving appointments to trainees who had passed out from the College of Education.

They are expecting President Mahinda Rajapakse to intervene in the issue before possible provincial elections take place.

Currently there are more than 3000 trainees waiting for appointments over 6 months.
