Sureties undertake to surrender suspect

The sureties who stood for an accused who was alleged to have suppressed facts about the killing of former Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar undertook to produce the accused in court on December 15.

The suspect Nadarajah Sivarajah alias Ambalan was alleged to have suppressed the fact that there was a conspiracy to assassinate Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadiragamar and had intentionally suppressed it without disclosing to the forces.

When the matter was taken up for inquiry before High Court Judge Ms. Deepali Wijesundera  Counsel  V.S. Mahalingham appearing for the sureties assured that the accused who had gone on a trip to  Malaysia would be produce before court on the next call date. The case was postponed for December 15. (T.
