Ten houses were damaged in Anuradapura during the past 24 hours due to strong wind conditions. More strong winds and rain can be expected in different parts of the country because of the Inter Monsoon season, Disaster Management Center said
Five deaths were also reported so far because of lighting strikes from different parts of the country including Badulla and Rathnapura. More rain and lighting was expected with the start of the South-West Monsoon season in May, Mr.K.A.Kodippili of the Disaster Management Center told Daily Mirror online.
