Four Sri Lankan fishermen who were stranded at sea since August 4, had a providential escape after they were spotted by fishermen off Andhra Pradesh and rescued.

They were brought ashore in Devunaltada of Vajrapukotturu mandal on Tuesday. According to local fishermen, the four Sri Lankans, Tilak Anand, V. Kumar, Wilson Devid and P. N. Yesu were stranded after the engine of their boat failed.

Their screams for help finally caught the attention of locals fishing near Devunaltada. All of them were provided food, shelter and medical aid in the village. (Source: The Hindu)
