Sri Lanka set 378 to win

Sri Lanka were set a target of 378 to win the first test against Australia, after the visitors were bowled out for 210 a short while ago, with Rangana Herath picking up five for 79.

Having scored 273 in the first innings the Sri Lankans were bowled out for 105, conceding a lead of 178, to which the Aussies added another 210.
Continuing from their over-night score of 115 for 6, Australia’s tail-enders put up a fight with Trent Copeland and Ryan Harris making helpful contributions of 23 each, the former remaining undefeated.

Captain Michael Clarke top scored for the Aussies with 60.
