Sri Lanka begin first innings

Sri Lanka were nine for no loss at lunch on the second day of the third and final test against Australia at the SSC today.
 
The hosts batted three overs after restricting Australia to 315 in their first innings of the third test, after the visitors began the days play on 235 for 5.
 
Brad Haddin was the first of the overnight batsmen to be dismissed when he was caught behind, off the bowling of Shamida Eranga for 35.
 
Some quick wickets gave Sri Lanka a chance to dismiss their opposition below 300, but Michael Hussey scored his second consecutive hundred, to take the Aussies to 315.
 
Debutant Eranga, picked up four for 65 and was the best of the bowlers. (SMD)
