The State Counsel in the case involving former Deputy Minister Chandana Kathriarachchi, has complained to court over the presence of a sorcerer inside the court premises and has asked for an inquiry to be held into the incident.
A person identified as Munagamage Don Gunawardena was arrested and remanded on suspicions of sorcery and the court has ordered the Keslwatte Police to investigate.
The Colombo High Court Judge meanwhile ordered the CID to provide protection to the foreman and other members of the Jury in the case after the Forman of the Jury complained to the magistrate that he was threatened with his life by some anonymous caller the previous night.
