SL-Pak to increase military ties

Sri Lanka and Pakistan said today that both countries stand to benefit more from increased military exchanges and training at a regular pace.

“Both countries stand to benefit more from increased military exchanges and training at a regular pace, besides sharing of counter-terrorism measures and sharing of experiences,” the APP said after the meeting between visiting President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister D M Jayaratne today in Colombo.

The two leaders also discussed ways to further strengthen ties between the two countries with a focus on exploring new avenues of cooperation.
