SL hasn’t reviewed its foreign policy: MFA clarifies

Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera has not at any point during his interactions with the Japanese media, referred to a review of Sri Lanka's foreign policy relating to a specific country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced.
 
Responding to questions that have arisen following Minister Samaraweera’s interview with NHK World News, MFA Spokesperson Mahishini Colonne said the Minister has in fact clarified this fact during a series of media interactions he had including the Press Conference at the Japan National Press Club, interviews with Yomiuri, Nikkei and Asahi Shimbum newspapers as well NHK television and emphasized the fact that Sri Lanka is striving to win back allies that have been traditionally close to the country since its independence.
 
She also notes that with regard to his comments on the investment projects, the Minister has clarified that all investment projects undertaken prior to January 8 are being reviewed due to allegations leveled against them on the failure to follow due procedures in awarding contracts for such projects.
