About Rs.2.3 million was robbed from a group of people who went to Anamaduwa to buy a vehicle today, police said.

The robbers who posed as the vehicle owners had taken the victims from Matara on a test run in the vehicle, robbed the money at gunpoint and fled leaving the shocked people stranded on the way.

The robbers had also stolen the key of the van in which the intended buyers had gone to Andigama in Anamaduwa.
