The Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) is expected to hold a protest this afternoon in front of the University Grants Commission due to which parts of Ward Place has already been closed and riot police deployed.
According to the Convener of the IUSF, Udul Premaratne, the protest is being held due to a four year special degree course in allied sciences being slashed to three years.
The protest is the third to be held in weeks. (Daily Mirror online)
