Red notice issued for suspects arrest

Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya today issued red notice for the arrest of S.D.T. Christine Dilhari of No 2, Kotikawatte Shopping Complex, Angoda for aiding and abetting the main suspects in the Korean Job scam by communicating with the victims and getting the victim’s cash deposited in the suspects bank accounts.

Magistrate Pilapitiya issued this order on considering the submissions made by IP Senaratna of the CID who submitted that even though the CID attempted to trace the whereabouts of the suspect Dilhari they were unable to find her.

However the IP said according to the information received by the CID, the suspect had absconded to a foreign country  and he requested the Magistrate  to issue red notice to the  Interpol to arrest her.

The suspects Samanthilake Dharshana Udyana  alias  Mohamed Waseer of  No 11, Ibrahim Road, Panadura, Sithy Naseema Nizamdeen of 145, Kawdana Road, Kalubowila and  Wanniarachchige  Wishwa Tharanga Fonseka of 59/2, Prathibimbarama  Road,  Kalubowila were alleged to have  defrauded millions in cash by operating a Website similar to the Website of the Foreign Employment Bureau at Battaramulla, and had collected millions of rupees by promising  Korean jobs.

The first suspect was the mastermind of the scam and had operated an office under the name  KLC Placement Services (Pvt) Limited at No 594 1/4  Galle Road, Colombo 3., to deceive the job seekers.

The second suspect was the wife of the mastermind and had aided and abetted the first suspect to carry out the scam.
