Ranil: Rs.10,000 rise for public servants

A future UNP government would give Rs.10,000 salary increment to public servants and Rs.2000 increment for pensioners until anomalies were resolved, United National Party (UNP) National Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said today in Kotte.

 

Speaking at a party meeting in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte today, he said a future UNP government would come out with a bonanza for the people.

He said a future UNP government would purchase Samba rice at Rs. 50 a kilogramme and Nadu rice at Rs. 45 a kilogramme.

 

He also said that a litre of petrol would be reduced by Rs. 50 while diesel would be reduced by Rs. 15. (Yohan Perera)
