In a new initiative to maintain a high standard for goods, more than 6000 stocks of imported items have been tested by the Sri Lanka Standard Institute to provide the public with quality and healthy products.

The new initiative intends to provide the public with quality imported products that meet the relevant Sri Lankan standards. Food items, electronic items, raw material and other such imported products will be tested to see if they meet the relevant quality so as to provide the public with a good choice of healthy and high quality goods, the  Ministry of Technology and Research said.   (Daily Mirror online)
