The police are conducting investigations into alleged scammers who advertise phone numbers without proper details in the local media promising loans and other monetary facilities and subsequently defraud unsuspecting investors.

The culprits who advertise their phone numbers without proper details promise monetary facilities to lure their investors and thereafter use false agreements and defrauded them, sources at the fraud bureau told Daily Mirror online.

After receiving several complaints investigations have been initiated on such a scam regarding an

Institution which promises upcoming and small businesses loan facilities.

The suspect had promised an amount of Rs. 3 lakhs and in return requested for an assurity for the loan facility to be passed. After the loan payments were completed the land or property that was given as assurity was not returned and was misused by the suspects.

The police warned that these type of advertisement are attractively published using the print and electronic media and requested the public to be mindful of the institutions they invest in.  (Daily Mirror online)
