An investigation is underway as to how an illegal radio station operating from Beruwala managed to broadcast its programs island-wide via the FM frequencies, officials told Daily Mirror online.

According to police sources the radio station was operating in Beruwala over a period of time before it was raided yesterday. The equipment used for the broadcast was also seized.
