Notorious underworld figure Pottu Naufar was injured and admitted to hospital after being assaulted by two inmates of the Bogambara prison this evening, Prisons Chief Major General VR Silva told Daily Mirror online.
He said that the attack was as a result of a personal feud and both the police and prisons are conducting two separate inquiries into the incident. The injuries sustained by Naufar is not life threatening, the Prisons Chief added.
