The police women and child’s bureau has convened a meeting with mobile phone operators on Friday to discuss banning access to porn sites via mobile phones, an official at the Police women and child’s bureau told Daily Mirror online.
According to the official, the bureau will obtain statements from the mobile phone operators before submitting a report to the Court and will later seek a ban on access to porn via mobile phones.
The bureau had earlier said that at least 40 porn websites could be accessed via mobile phones including some sites banned in Sri Lanka on the internet. (Daily Mirror online)
