The Lanka India Oil Company (LIOC) in a media release said ‘false rumours’ were being circulated that a consignment of contaminated petrol had been unloaded at the Trincomalee Harbour

“We like to clarify that the vessel brought in a total of 26,700 MT of petrol, of which 10,450 MT was unloaded at the Colombo Harbour after the petrol was tested and cleared by the CPSTL laboratory in Colombo. The balance consignment was sent to be unloaded at the Trincomalee Harbour as planned.”
