The regular summoning of Principals of schools coming under Provincial Councils to Colombo by Education Ministry Higher officials, has created confusion in the duties of the North Central Provincial Council, North Central Province Chief Minister Peshala Jayaratne alleged.

He further said as the line ministry officials in the central government were summoning provincial government officials without getting permission from the relevant Provincial Councils resulting in a situation where the powers and responsibilities of Provincial Councils being humiliated. Therefore he vowed to file a case to get an interpretation from the Supreme Court on this matter. (Upul Thammita and Ranjan Kasturi)
