PC assaults sergeant over bag dispute

A police constable attached to the Haguranketha Police reportedly assaulted a sergeant of the Maturate Police in a mix-up over their traveling bags. The incident took place when both officers were off duty, Senior DIG H.N.B. Ambanwala said.

The Haguranketha Police have commenced an investigation against the assailant PC, a senior police officer said. (J.A.L.Jayasinghe)
