The expert panel appointed by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to advice him on Sri Lanka will meet as scheduled later this month although an exact date is yet to be finalized, the Chairman of the panel told Daily Mirror online this evening.

Chairman of the Panel Marsuki Darusman when contacted by Daily Mirror online this evening said that the Panel was expected to meet in the third week of this month to begin its work.

When questioned about today’s protest where Darusman and his two colleagues were termed as ‘three idiots’ by Minister Wimal Weerawansa’s supporters during the protest in Colombo today, Darusman said, “I would not like to comment about that at the moment. Let’s see how things proceed.”  (Daily Mirror online)
