Senior Pakistan police officials were blamed today by the Lahore High Court Judge for their negligence on the day terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan cricketers, according to Pakistan media reports

The High Court Judge had identified more than a dozen senior policemen in a report on the attack that is due to be submitted to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

According to the Judge, the police officials had failed to perform their duties on March of 2009. The gunmen killed six policemen and a van driver in the team convoy and injured several Sri Lanka players and team officials during the attack.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is still waiting for permission from the Pakistan government to submit the report to the ICC despite reminders by the game's governing body.

The Judicial Commission appointed to investigate the attack on the Sri Lankan cricketers was completed last year.
