Over 90 domestics to return

The Foreign Employment Bureau has taken steps to bring back 92 Sri Lankan domestic workers from safe houses in the Middle East on Wednesday at the total expense of the Sri Lankan authorities, Deputy General Manager of the Bureau, L. K. Ruhunage told Daily Mirror online.

Of those being brought back to Sri Lanka, 66 are from Kuwait and 26 are from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Deputy General Manager of the Bureau, L. K. Ruhunage told Daily Mirror online.

L. K. Ruhunage said that these returnees are among those who either left their jobs after being abused by their employers or left after failing to get their due monthly salaries. (Daily Mirror online)
