A release by Platinum Entertainment said that if the government continues to refuse permission for the main artiste, Akon, to perform at the concert scheduled for April 24 then the concert may go ahead with the other performers, although the release did not name who they are.
“Those who have purchased the tickets for Superfest 2010 Sri Lanka concert will be refunded fully if the purchaser of the ticket is not willing to be part of the concert without the main artiste,” the release said.
The organizers also said they have scheduled a concert to be held in the Maldives on April 23rd but did not mention if Akon will perform in the event his visa to Sri Lanka continues to be rejected. (Daily Mirror online)
