Four injured in explosion-police

Four persons were injured when the battery of an ITN Cab exploded early this morning in Karagahathenna area in Matale, the Matale police said.

The explosion occurred when the driver went to fill battery water into the battery of the van. Currently the injured are receiving treatment at the Matale Hospital.

Police media spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said that the Matale police are investigating into the incident. (SD)
