Minister of Agrarian Services and Wildlife S M Chandrasena said that there would be no shortage in rice supplies as a result of the recent floods, this year as there were188 million paddy bushels in storage.

He said that farmers require only 174 million bushels to supply demands. He however said that there could be a shortage in vegetable supplies and the prices could increase and as a relief measure they would sell vegetables at low prices at its 556 Agrarian Service Centres island-wide. (SAJ)
