While claiming that the 2015 ICC World Cup would be his last international tournament, star cricketer Mahela Jayawardane, who retired from the international Test Cricket, has ruled out entering politics and being a cricket coach.

“I will have to go out from house if I take that decision (Entering politics)," Jayawardane said addressing the Sri Lanka and Pakistan post match press conference at the SSC in Colombo.

He also ruled out being a coach. “You need lot of patience to be a coach, I don't think I have that,” he said.

Earlier, speaking at the presentation ceremony soon after the match Mahela said, “The 2015 Cricket World Cup would be my last international tournament,”

"I love you all. Thank you so much for your support all these years. I still have a little bit of cricket left in me and I promise I'll give it my all for the World Cup,” Mahela said. "I don't know what to say, but I promise I won't cry. My thanks also go out to my teammates. It's been great to play for Sri Lanka for so many years. I have always worn this cap with pride and passion.

Jayawardene ended his test carrier scoring 11,814 runs with 34 centuries in 149 Tests.
