The UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs John Holmes says there is no evidence to suggest that the displaced people who are being resettled from the Vavuniya IDP camps are actually being moved into new closed camps.

Speaking to reporters at the UN, Holmes said that as far as he knows when the people are resettled they are first taken to transit centers and then moved quickly to their places of origin.
