Navy intercepts 80 persons heading to Australia

The Sri Lanka Navy intercepted another boat carrying more than 80 persons to Australia this morning in the Eastern seas off Batticaloa, Navy sources said.

The Navy said that it would prevent anyone from fleeing to Australia and for the purpose the intelligence services have been expanded along with the number of routine patrols increased by several folds. (SD)
