National museum broken

The National museum situated in Cinnamon Gardens has been broken into by a group of thieves last night who have stolen traditional swords and coins that were placed in the museum. 
 
Thus far seven swords, 18 rings, 4 handles and coins worth millions are found to have been stolen.

Police spokesman Ajith Rohana said that there is no breakthrough as to the culprits yet. " There has been no breakthrough yet. Both the CID and the  Cinnamon Gardens Police are conducting further investigations into the incident” 

Meanwhile, the National Museum has been closed for public till tomorrow (March 18) due to investigations following the robbery, the Police said.(Hafeel Farisz & Supun Dias)
