SLFP Kalutara District parliamentarian and son of Senior Minister Rathnasiri Wickremanayake, Vidura Wickremanayake said his family would support Mahinda Rajapaksa at the coming Presidential elections despite the unfair treatment meted out to them by several SLFP Ministers.

“If anyone is to crossover, it should be us but my father and I have decided to stay on with the SLFP and support the President. I can’t leave the party because of personal issues. However we have decided to think of the country and stay on,” he said.

Horana SLFP Organizer went on to say that he did not agree completely with the current ruling party. “I am of the opinion that the Constitution needs to be amended, not parts of it but the entire Constitution. I have issues with the executive as well,” Wickremanayake said. (Buddhika Kumarasiri)
