.
The Mulleriyawa gun battle on Saturday evening ended in the death of Mr. Premachandra and three others while parliamentarian Duminda Silva sustained severe head injuries.

So far six suspects have been arrested and 16 guns taken into custody. The guns included 12 pistols, two revolvers and two T-56 assault rifles.
