More time needed to plan Town and Country Planning Bill

The Central Provincial Council had wanted more time to discuss the proposed Town and Country Planning Ordinance Amendment Bill and had failed to approve it sources from the provincial council said yesterday.

A UPFA member of the provincial council told the Daily Mirror yesterday that discussing it and the apparent approval of it is questionable as it had been referred to the councils by Parliament without its approval. (Yohan Perera)
