Mervyn visits IDPs

Mervyn Silva who was recently stripped of his deputy ministerial position has now undertaken the role of a good samaritan by visiting the displaced people in Jaffna today to hand over gifts

The parliamentarian over the last couple of days also sponsored painting several Bhuddist temples in the country with the participation of some government members, according to his media spokesperson.

Silva who is currently on a tour in Jaffna visited the Ramavil IDP center today and distributed books to school children.

He is expected tomorrow to sponsor painting the Kelaniya Temple in an attempt to continue ‘working for his people’. (Daily Mirror online)
