Mankulam Police Division removed

A  Police division in Mankulam has been removed with effect from today, Police Spokesman Ajith Rohana said.

SSP Rohana said that the Mankulam Police was still functioning but only one division of it had been removed and its duties delegated to other divisions.

The total number of Police divisions in the island has thereby been reduced to 42, he said. (Jehan Gunasekara)
