Maldivians nabbed for misbehaving in flight

Two Maldivian nationals under the influence of liquor were apprehended by the Katunayake police for behaving in an unruly manner on a Colombo bound Sri Lankan flight, the Police said.

According to initial police investigations the two suspects had acted violently harassing the passengers and crew onboard since the flight’s departure from Bangkok late last night.

Soon after the landing at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, the two suspects were taken into police custody and they were to be produced before the Magistrate shortly, the Police added.
