Malaka Silva remanded

Minister Mervyn Silva's son Malaka Silva, who was admitted to a private hospital following a brawl at a night club in Kollupitiya, has been remanded until November 4th for allegedly assaulting a Scottish couple during the night club brawl, police said.
 
Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana told Daily Mirror online that the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) has produced Mr. Silva before the Judge this evening. “Mr. Silva was remanded until November 4, for allegedly assaulting a Scottish couple at a Night Club in the early hours today,” the spokesman said.

Soon after the alleged incident, Malaka’s friend had lodged a complaint with the Kollupitiya police stating that Malaka was assaulted by a Scottish man at the Night Club at Duplication Road, Kollupitiya.
