Mahindananda wins in Kandy

UPFA candidate Mahindananda Aluthgamage has received the highest preferential votes in the Kandy District with 146,765 votes followed by Keheliya Rambukwella who received 133,060 votes and S.B. Dissanayaka with 108,169 votes.

UPFA’s Lohan Ratwatta obtained 81,812 votes, Erik Weerawardena 54,195 votes, Dilum Amunugama 45,909 votes, Faizer Mustapha 44,648 votes and Sarath Amunugama 44,478 votes.

From the UNP, Abdul Cader topped the list by obtaining 54,937 votes followed by Rauff Hakeem who received 54047 votes.
Lakshman Kiriella came in third with 53,690 votes followed by M.H.M. Haleem who received 46,240 votes. (Daily Mirror online)
