Will never let our ties shatter -MR to MS

At his meeting with Indian Premier Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the Rio+20 environmental Summit, President Mahinda Rajapaksa emphasized the historical relationship that existed between India and Sri Lanka, stressing that this relationship would never be allowed to disintegrate.

The discussion between the two world leaders at Rio de Janeiro in Brazil highlighted the cordial relationship that existed for centuries between the two countries and the opportunities afforded for the resolution of contentious issues as and when they arose.

The 50,000 housing project being funded by India and the construction work of the Sampur Power Plant were discussed in detail.
