LTTE spy arrested in Pettah

After the expiration of one and half years since the LTTE was defeated militarily, there are signs of its “ Intelligence Operators ” getting reorganized under an unidentified leadership, the Police Criminal Investigations Division of Pettah reported to the Chief Magistrate of Colombo

Pettah Police told the Courts that the suspect was arrested near Khan Clock Tower opposite Colombo Port Entrance, on 29th November, after the investigations conducted based on the information gathered by their Western Range Intelligence Unit, producing Selvarasa A. Seelan of Nedunkerni alias ‘ Banu ’who is said to be a powerful LTTE member.

Disclosing to the courts that it has been revealed that the suspect had been sent for the purpose of finding out information on the main security buildings of the government and on the strategic commercial centres, Pettah Police insisted that the suspect be remanded. The Magistrate ordered the suspect to be remanded till 07th December.  ( Dasun Rajapaksa)
