A ‘kottu roti’ maker who was charged before the Colombo Additional Magistrate by the  Public health Inspector (PHI) of the Kotte Municipal counsel for alleged noise pollution, pleaded not guilty when he was presented in Court today.

When the matter was called before the Colombo Additional Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara the PHI Sujeewa Saman Kumara complained to the magistrate that the residents around the Koswatte Junction at Nawala had complained that the noise of kottu roti being made in the area is an interference.

The PHI submitted that the suspect had committed an offence punishable under the noise pollution. The suspect pleaded not guilty for the charges and the magistrate released him on bail.
