Kelaniya undergrads nabbed with grass

Thirteen students of the Kelaniya University were arrested yesterday by the Kiribathgoda Police while they were allegedly smoking ganja inside the university campus, the Police said.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said the suspects had been identified as students of the Arts and Commerce Faculties of the University.

He said that the Police had also recovered 13 ganja cigars from the suspects' possession.

The students were arrested in the raid that was carried out by a team of officers from the Kiribathgoda Police with the assistance from University Disciplinary Committee on Monday evening.

They are expected to be produced in the Mahara Court today and Kiribathgoda police are conducting further investigations.(DS)
