Jury chosen in Chandrasena murder case

A jury of five men and seven women have been chosen for the trial of two Sri Lankan men who allegedly murdered Sameera Chandrasena.

The 28-year-old was found in his burnt out Oxford home with injuries consistent with an assault.

24-year-old Thuvan Sawal and 35-year-old Viraj Alahakoon are jointly charged with the murder and arson of the home.

This morning they pleaded not guilty with the assistance of interpreters.
The trial's been set down for six weeks.(Newstalk ZB)
